The Benefits Of a Two Story Property When Building Your New Home.

When deciding on the kind of property that you would like to purchase for your new home, there are a number of options open to you. Generally speaking, people choose between a single story or a two-storey home and if you are finding it quite difficult to choose, then you find yourself in a situation that many other homeowners have gone through before. Growing up, you may have lived in a single story property and so you’re probably leaning towards it as your first choice. The thing to remember here however is that a two-storey home offers up many other advantages.

When it comes to house building (known as รับสร้างบ้าน in Thai), it’s probably the better choice to decide on a two-storey property because it is going to provide you with a lot more privacy because people can’t easily look into your bedroom and it’s going to make you and your family a lot more secure because it takes a lot more effort to break into a two-storey home. If you’re still a little bit on the fence when it comes to choosing then maybe the following reasons why you should build yourself a two-storey home can help you to make the right decision.

  • Lots of extra space – Clearly a two-storey property will have a lot more space than a single story and then there is always the attic space that can be converted later into a single or double bedroom. If you would like to have a much larger garden for the kids to play in then it makes perfect sense to go up instead of out when you build your property.
  • Lots more privacy – There is nothing more annoying than living across from a family who can look directly into your bedroom throughout the day and night. The beauty about building a two-storey property is that the person in the single story property across the road cannot impede upon your privacy.
  • It’s more cost effective – many people are not aware of this but building a two-storey home costs a lot less per square metre because there is less excavation need it because you’re going up rather than out and you need a much smaller space to build it on. This means that you don’t have to spend more money buying a large piece of property that you would like to put a single story property on.

Hopefully these three reasons can push you in the direction of deciding to build a two-storey property and now all you have to do now is to find the right building contractor to do all of the work for you.
