Tips for Renovating a Small Bathroom

It is hard enough to design a bathroom, yet if yours is a little on the small side, this present even more problems. Saving space must always be at the forefront of your mind when planning the layout, and with that in mind, here are a few tips to ensure you make the most out of the available space.

  • Bespoke Storage Cabinets – The only way to go is made to measure, as this means you can create small, odd-shaped storage cupboards, and when looking at a bathroom remodel in Bristol, there are a few local experts who know all about small bathroom design.

  • Plan your Floor Layout – If you take a large sheet of paper, you can create a to-scale drawing that will help you with the positioning of everything. If you do this, the actual work will be much easier, as you have measured everything, so you know it will fit.

  • Remove the Bathtub – Assuming you have a bath, you should remove it and replace it with a digital corner shower unit and that will give you a few more square yards of floor space. Aside from the extra space, removing the bath will save both water and energy, as a digital shower uses much less water and gas than a bath would.

  • Keep Non-Essentials in Another Room – Things like spare towels and bathrobes do not have to be stored in your bathroom, and with one cupboard in the spare room, this will free up some valuable storage space in the bathroom.

Talk to your local bathroom renovation specialist and see what they can do for you.
